Lapis and the Lotus – 108 Count Knotted Mala

Lapis, Freshwater Pearl and Quartz Mala with a Lapis inlayed Lotus Pendant

Lapis Lazuli, the Ancient stone of truth and wisdom, is a deeply spiritual stone reputed to activate the higher mind and enhance intellectual ability. It stimulates the desire for knowledge, truth and understanding.  Lapis encourages honesty of the spirit, and in your word. Pearls remind us that an irritant can become a beautiful, joyful blessing – and to have more of what we really want in life, we can cultivate it from within. Rock Crystal Quartz is the stone of power. It can enhance thoughts, and is extremely beneficial in meditating, manifesting, and protection.

The lotus in its most common form is a pure white flower that blooms in water. Not all that significant, really, except when you consider this; The lotus does not bloom in a beautiful clear pool of water- a lotus rises straight out of pond “muck”, blooming clean above the water. For any of us struggling through the “muck” only to be blessed with amazing insight- a lotus is a badge of courage, perseverance, and the beauty of life.

This is the mala of claiming your own truth. Finding the voice of wisdom that is within you and flowering like the lotus does out of the mud and into great beauty. As the great Chinese Philosopher Confucius stated “I have a love for the Lotus, while growing in mud it still remains unstained”.

This Mala is hand knotted on a royal blue twisted thread, using 6mm Lapis, Freshwater Pearl and Crystal Quartz beads.  It is approximately 33″ long with a 3″ drop.

Prayer and mantra practice has been used as a powerful tool for centuries to calm, regroup, heal and spiritually evolve into our best selves. Typically, the beads or mala is held in your hand while each bead is touched as you recite a prayer or mantra. A traditional mala has 108 beads with a ‘guru bead’.

Due to each mala being handmade and the nature of gemstones each mala will vary slightly. Properties of stones are legend and belief are not meant to be medical treatments. Although each mala comes with a suggested mantra, they are just suggestions, ultimately, you are the only one who knows the mantra you need to repeat.
